A newcomer to the segment of the multi purpose vehicle (MPV) from China, Wuling Indonesia has appeared for the first time in front of the media in North Jakarta, Monday (5/22/2017). For the Indonesian market, this model is named Wuling Confero S. In addition to seeing how it looks, participants are also welcome to feel the “First Impression” on performance and comfort. This product will challenge the Japanese group, among them Avanza, Mobilio, Xenia, and Ertiga who play long in the country.
“Before we have officially released to the public in the third quarter later, we would like to request advance opinions from our media partners. This is a car that we provide according to the Indonesian market,” said Cindy CAI, Vice President of Vehicle, Sales, Service, and Marketing Wuling Motors, Monday (22/05/2017).
Cindy continued, if along with the introduction of products, Wuling Indonesia also at the same time develop a network dealers. At least we have been here for two years, starting from the groundbreaking of the first mill located at Greenland International Industrial Center (GIIC), Cikarang Center, Bekasi, West Java.
“Starting from groundbreaking done in 2015, then the first introduction at the 2017 GIIAS automotive exhibition, we’ve been two years. So, so far, we are ready to launch Wuling Confero S, and want to provide it exclusively for the Indonesian market, “said Cindy.
Wuling Confero S itself has a 1.5L 4-cylinder DOHC engine, D-VVT, which is capable of spewing power up to 107 to @ 5,800 RPM, with a torque of 142 NM @ 3,800-4,400 RPM. Currently, Wuling Indonesia only provides Wuling Confero S with 5-speed manual transmission.
Related to capacity, Wuling Confero S provides two bench configurations. First, seven passengers with the concept of captain seat on the second row. Meanwhile, the second model can accommodate eight passengers, but the middle row seats without a captain seat.
