Volkswagen will introduce the VW Golf Crossover at the Geneva Motor Show, which will take place in March 2017. Previously, the concept car using the name T-Roc ever world debut in 2014.
VW Golf Crossover will use the MQB platform and has a wheelbase of 2640 mm as the latest model VW Golf or 41 mm shorter than the VW Tiguan. Meanwhile, VW Golf Crossover has the same dimensions as the T-Roc concept car is 4,178 mm long, 1,831 mm wide and 1,501 mm high.
The engine options was prepared in order to facilitate the consumers, among others, 3-cylinder 1.0-liter engine with 113 HP, TSI 4-cylinder 1.5-liter engine with 128 HP, TSI 4-cylinder 2.0-liter engine with 148 HP and 4-cylinder GTI Turbo engine with 241 HP.
Reportedly, the company will provide a version of the plug-in hybrid and electric, when the car is entering the production line.
Front wheel drive will be standard for entry-level and all-wheel-drive will be the first choice on the car with the highest specifications. The engine will be mated with 6-speed manual transmission and seven-speed DSG dual-clutch.
