Tata Motors took part in the Geneva Motor Show 2017 to unveil a sports car named “Racemo”. This car is a concept car first exhibited by a subsidiary of Tata Motors, Tamo Racemo. Tamo Racemo is a 2-seater sports car with coupe style, which combines a distinctive design concept of Italy and India.
“We launched a sub-brand Tamo as an answer to the demand of new technologies, business models and cooperation. Racemo is the first innovation of Tamo and show our emotional side. This is a new step towards the future, “said Guenter Butschek, CEO of Tata Motors.
Tamo Racemo designed by Tata Motors Design Studio located in Turin, Italy. Its presence there, once patented new chassis is engineered from Tata Motors, which MoFlex Multi-Material Sandwitch (MMS).
MMS is the latest chassis that promotes strength, stable and lightweight. Tata Motors believes this new structure will become commonplace in the line-up of Tata Motors sports car.
“The style and design will provide new experience and technologies, Racemo is a testament to the character development of consumers who have become one with the digital lifestyle. This sports car will be the best solution thanks to a new look and show vision and mission of Tata Motors, “added Guenter.
Racemo been armed with petrol engine 1.2-liter turbocharged three-cylinder engine capable of producing 187 hp and 210 Nm of torque. The engine is mated with a 6-speed automatic transmission.
Tata Motors claims that this sports car can travel a 0-100 kph less than 6 seconds. Some of the security features that Bi-LED headlights, electric power assisted steering and airbags for the passenger and driver.
Tamo Racemo has been equipped with several digital features, such as cloud computing, analytics, geo-spatial and GPS. These features are believed to provide the best experience to the relationship between man and machine.
Tamo Racemo also presents games street car Racemo + which is an interactive game that adapts Microsoft Forza Horizon 3 game.
