In 2013, one of Rolls-Royce’s loyal customers have a very interesting demand. This loyal consumer is a super-yacht lover and private jet who then wants this luxury concept can be applied in a super luxury car.
Giles Taylor as the design director of Rolls-Royce Motor Cars became the first person to successfully apply these consumer desires. Rolls-Royce Sweptail was inspired from the luxury Rolls-Royce yacht that had been produced in 1920 and 1930.
This premium luxury car is carrying two-seater coupe model with a very large panoramic roof. It was able to show the golden era of classic cars and modern yachts. If noted, this car is the result of a combination of 1925 Phantom I, 1934 Phantom II Streamline Saloon, 1934 Phantom II Two Door Light Saloon and 1934 Phantom Coupe.
“Our work is to guide, make changes and perfect the car so that consumers get the perfect Rolls-Royce,” said Taylor.
For exterior design, Rolls-Royce Sweptail is equipped with a large aluminum grille Pantheon, aluminum accents on the front, carrying a coupe model, the roofline looks very sharp like a yacht and lower bumper. The design is believed to provide a new perception for the Rolls-Royce Coupe and is very elegant.

Overall, the cabin looks very simple, but gives the impression of luxury and elegance thanks to the philosophy of simplicity and minimalism. Most of the car’s interior is lined with Macassary Ebony and Paldao wood materials that are capable of providing contrasting colors to Moccasin leather.
