Porsche Mission E is Ready To Lead The Electric Car Market in 2018

Porsche came at the right time, when the automobile industry in Western Europe was busy creating various concepts for electric cars. Porsche Mission E claimed to be a tough competitor for the Tesla Model S.

Porsche first disclosed the concept of Porsche Mission E at the Frankfurt Auto Show in 2015 and then, this German-based company said that the supercar will go from 0 to 100 km / h (62 mph) in under 3.5 seconds, this certainly beats Porsche 911 that can accelerate at the rate of 4.2 seconds.

Porsche Mission E also will have a range of more than 500 Km per-charged with battery power to 800-volt lithium-ion and only takes 15 minutes for a 80 percent charge. Consumers expect the emergence of Porsche Mission E still with the same concept, has a distinctive engine roar of Porsche. More importantly, Porsche has embedded it in the electric car.

“We have calculated the quantity of the order of about 20,000 production and sales for Mission E,” said CEO of Porsche, Oliver Blume told Automobilwoche reported by Automotive News.

Blume is very confident about the sales will increase in the first year of  Mission E sales in 2019, as in 2015, Porsche managed to sell vehicles globally and has increased by 19 percent to 225,121 with a sports car and SUV models. Another thing with Uwe Hueck as Porsche Labor Boss, last July refused to set targets for the production of Porsche Mission E, but Hueck said also that Porsche needs to sell at least 10,000 of the Mission E model per year to make a profit.

Having launched in 2019 later, ten Porsche Mission E sold globally will be upgraded engines, so it can have a 600-horsepower. Mission E itself will be sold in the market at a price of USD 50,000 to USD 200,000.

According to information circulating, that starting next year, VW and its subsidiaries luxury car, Audi and Porsche, with BMW, Daimler, and Ford’s European division decided to work together to create a charging point for their electric cars in Europe.
