Mitsubishi Expander introduced in front of the media on Monday (24/7/2017), in Jakarta. Not a lot of data released, but PT Mitsubishi Motors Krama Yudha Sales Indonesia (MMKSI) provides some picture about the future. It has been mentioned on several occasions, that this car will combine the MPV cabin’s relief, but with the confidence of an SUV. Design

The design blends the stylish and spacious aspect, characterizing an MPV with an SUV display. The view from the front is the Dynamic Shield design language like other Mitsubishi cars. The level of lighting is believed to be very good, with the position of DRL LED lights located on the hood, supported by the main lights on the bumper and fog lamp that is placed lower.

If you see the figure, this Mitsubishi’s MPV is slightly larger than its competitors. The dimensions presented are 4.475 mm X 1.750 mm X 1.700 mm. The ground clearance reaches 205 mm. The wheelbase is 1,700 mm, the longest in its class.

Interior

The seats can be arranged in various positions, and the advantage is the third row seat can be folded ramps for the sake of a spacious cabin. The second row seats can also ramp up to increase the luggage capacity. There is a Keyless Operation System (KOS) feature that allows the driver to open the door and start the engine when the key is in the pocket. The key can also turn on the lights to help find a car in a wide area. The headlights will remain on for 30 seconds while the passengers are out at night.

Machine

The new generation of 1500 cc pacemaker called specifically developed for this MPV. There are 16 valves, with MIVEC technology. There is no official data of power and torque. Transmission using manual type 5-speed and 4-speed automatic. Strong body with Reinforced Impact Safety Evolution (RISE) structure. Dampness of the cabin is guaranteed thanks to the maximum absorbers and insulators.
