Mercedes-Benz finally unveils their pick up candidates in the future. The vehicle was named the Mercedes-Benz X-Class, based on the Nissan Navara NP-300 platform by displaying a sturdy design. This vehicle is the result of cooperation between Daimer with Renault-Nissan alliance as a form of efficiency, but the mutual benefit of both parties. Nissan is considered to be experienced in marketing the various double cabin vehicles, while Mercedes-Benz excels in terms of technology.
Mercedes-Benz claims that this car as a combination of Offroad and Onroad vehicles that can accommodate five passengers and has a large enough tub capacity. In an official statement, the vehicle is easy to adapt to any road conditions thanks to the coil-spring suspension. Consumers can choose rear-wheel drive mode or 4X4. The ability to climb the cobbled streets of typical Offroad, feels increasingly easy for Mercedes-Benz X-Class because it uses low range transfer case and differential locking.
For the engine, the Mercedes-Benz only divulge their highest variant that uses diesel V6 with a kitchen runway system 4Matic permanent all-wheel-drive. To support the ability, Mercedes-Benz embed electronic devices traction system, transfer case with reduction gear, plus two different locks.
Built with a ladder frame chassis, Mercedes-Benz X-Class to endure payload up to 1.1 tons and carrying weights (towing) up to 3.5 tonnes. This vehicle will be manufactured at Nissan’s Barcelona plant. From the factory, the Mercedes-Benz X-Class will be marketed in Europe, Australia and South Africa at the end of 2017.
