The Mazda Kai Concept is predicted to be a new generation for Mazda3. Making its global debut at the Tokyo Motor Show 2017, Mazda Kai Concept carries the concept of the KODO design – Soul of Motion is able to make the look of this 5-door hatchback looks stylish. Although predicted to be a new generation of the Mazda3, the production version of this concept car is believed to be more aggressive.
In this concept car, Mazda tried to combine a large grille that blends with the headlights and splitter. Turning to the back, there is a special bodywork combined with a muscular fender. Other exterior parts of the car that are also unique include the door handle, dual-exhaust and a small tailgate-mounted spoiler. The unique style is also visible on the roof of the Mazda Kai Concept with 2 large glass panels that are above the passenger seat.
Despite having a very unique exterior design, the interior design of this concept car is very simple. Mazda pinned a three-spoke steering wheel and traditional instrument cluster. However, the entertainment features on this concept car appear very modern.
Entertainment features are present in the form of a special panel that integrates with the dashboard. The display is believed to not interfere with drivers and passengers when not activating entertainment features. The entire interior of the Mazda Kai Concept is wrapped in black leather with a distinctive red accent. The trim on this concept car cabin use piano black and some chrome accents.
