After successfully presenting several premium SUV line-ups, Lexus now presents the latest SUV, the Lexus LF-1 Limitless Concept. This is a flagship SUV Lexus that will directly challenge all European rivals including the Range Rover. The concept car that glide at the event North American International Auto Show (NAIAS) or known as the Detroit Motor Show, is the most luxurious Lexus model in the SUV segment. This car is designed in the studio of CALTY Design Research Studio in California with a melting metal design language, and is shaped like a sharp Japanese sword.
This design definition is the latest Lexus design language in the future. “This is our vision for a flagship car that has a crossover shape without ruling out the performance and luxury of a premium sedan,” said Kevin Hunter, President of CALTY Design Research.
“The Lexus LF-1 Limitless Concept car combines imaginative technology with powerful emotional connections to create a relationship between driver and passenger.”
Big and Sophisticated Body
With a sharper appearance and sophisticated interior, the Lexus LF-1 Limitless Concept combines Lexus design features of a large grille that spreads to the bottom with a new touch. Includes a light bar at the back and a smooth door panel.
On the inside, a contrived infotainment screen integrates with the dashboard. While the instrument panel is hexagonal with a digital screen. The cabin seemed to be free of the buttons, all the settings through the touch screen. But unfortunately all the buttons so move with the steering wheel.
The steering wheel is filled with lots of buttons to control the audio and others. The 4D navigation and haptic control technology became a star, indicating the sophistication level of the Lexus cabin that will be the product of the future. Lexus mentions if this concept SUV will have a large selection of power sources. Can be hybrid, fuel cell, plug-in hybrid, gasoline or electric motor though. This indicates if this car will depend on the needs of the country he is marketed.
Despite its dimensions into the big SUV category, but Lexus still call it a crossover. As a flagship model, of course Lexus LF-1 Limitless Concept will be above the LX.
