Honda WR-V Concept officially make its debut at the Sao Paulo International Motor Show 2016. According to the plan, this car will be launched in South America and India starting next year. The WR-V itself is an abbreviation of ‘Winsome Runabout Vehicle’ and Honda says that this car offers a spacious cabin but still compact sized. See at a glance that the Honda WR-V Concept was shaped like the Honda Jazz elevated.
It looks quite interesting with a variety of lines that makes it look muscular, but still seem compact. Honda WR-V Concept is also equipped with a grill as well as front and rear bumpers are chrome plated so that makes it feel more modern.
Honda WR-V will be targeted at young consumers who have high mobility and who like the lifestyle. Unfortunately, Honda has not talked much related to this car. They only show the exterior of the Honda WR-V Concept. Even the interior is still covered. Various rumors circulated that in the Honda WR-V will be stored Honda Jazz engines, the 1.5-liter I-VTEC 4-cylinder combined with 5-speed manual transmission or a CVT that helps deliver power to the front wheels.
“Since we started our business in Brazil in 1971, Honda has received the support of 24 million customers through the purchase of motorcycles, cars and machinery products. The introduction of the Honda WR-V shows that Honda is committed to the South American market and will continue to provide the best vehicle for consumers,” said Esau Mizoguchi, President and Director of Honda Automoveis do Brazil Ltd.
In the Brazilian automotive market, Honda WR-V will be positioned below the Honda HR-V or to match the Hyundai HB20X, Chevrolet Onix Activ and VW CrossFox.
