The Honda NSX sports car won the special award, Car of the Year Japan Steering Committee’s Special Award 2016 – 2017. This is an award that is intended as the highest form of appreciation of the performance of the drive. The second generation NSX offers, product concept with the theme “Human-Centered Supercar”, which is then used to develop the second generation of Honda NSX.
The new concept was planted, “New Sports experience” useful for its users, highlighting their exceptional engine performance and responsive driving control of the second-generation of Honda NSX.

The new transmission, 9-speed dual-clutch transmission (DCT). Reaches a maximum engine power of 580 HP with a maximum speed of 307 kph. For acceleration, this car only takes 2.9 seconds to move from rest to 100 kph.

Previously, Honda NSX has also won other prestigious awards, namely Performance Car of The Year of Road & Track magazine in the United States. Since the premiere at the Geneva Motor Show in 2016 in Switzerland, Honda NSX went on sale in Japan in August 2016. Consumers in Japan are expected to begin receiving the car at the beginning of 2017. While in the United States, the sales of Acura (Honda) NSX have been started since June 2016.
The second generation of Honda NSX is produced at Honda’s plant in Swindon, England, while the Acura NSX produced at the Honda Performance Manufacturing Center in Marysville, State of Ohio, United States.
