MINI finally unveils the first unit to use the plug-in hybrid technology. In its official statement, the technology had two heart driving it, tucked away in the all-new 2017 Mini Cooper S E Countryman All4. This car offers a choice of driving emphasis on fuel efficiency. The meaning of “All4” is saving-wheel drive system (all-wheel-drive).
When the driver requires more power, 3-cylinder petrol engine (front wheel drive) will help the electric motor (rear wheel drive) so that the total power generated is 224 HP. Conventional engine itself is a 1.5-liter, and powered up to 136 HP.
The ability of the British car is more remarkable, considering the fuel will consume an average of 14.2 per liter with CO2 emissions of 49 grams to travel as far as 1 kilometer. MINI put lithium-ion battery under the second-row seats and the condition are very safe. The driving activity will feel cooler when fully charged battery is capable of delivering the car to the distance of 40 km.
But it would move faster if the fuel engine is turned on. MINI claims it only takes 6.9 seconds to accelerate from 0-100 kph, with a note that the 1.5-liter engine has been lit since its inception. On the dashboard, you will see the drive mode DRIVE AUTO, MAX drive and SAVE BATTERY. All three displays excellence battery technology and the electric motor are stored. In the AUTO drive setting, the car is able to move with the help of electric power up to a speed of 80 kph. In MAX drive mode, this car can move only supported by the electric motor alone and can reach speeds of up to 125 kph. While the BATTERY SAVE mode, it can only be used if the battery is fully charged at least 90 percent, where the standard charging process takes 3 hours 15 minutes from empty to fully charged condition.
In addition, there is also Dynamic Stability Control (DSC) feature, which is a standard feature of the MINI.
