2019 Honda Insight Prototype officially unveils at North America International Auto Show (NAIAS) 2018. The latest generation of Insight is believed to be an overview of Honda’s electric car product line-up in the future. New 2019 Honda Insight Prototype is a Compact Hybrid model with a sedan design platform that delivers spacious cabin for 5 passengers, the driving performance is fun to drive and efficiency.
New 2019 Honda Insight Prototype brings the concept of captivating design through the body wide, low, Flying Wing grille, Bold Fascia, LED Headlight and Taillight LED that together gives a sharp impression as well as dynamic. With a long wheelbase platform, this concept car is claimed to be the widest car in its class and is supported by various premium features.
The interior of this concept sedan has been equipped with Perforated Leather Seats, 8″ Audio Capacitive Touch Screen Display and 7″ LCD Driver’s Meter. In addition, the entertainment features of this car can also be customized and home-screen shortcuts along with the availability of Apple Car Play ™, Android Auto ™ and WiFi via over-air-system-update.
This concept car is armed with a 3rd generation Hybrid engine from the Two-Motor Hybrid System. The hybrid engine is combined with a 1.5 L Atkinson Cycle engine which is a high-powered Electric Propulsion engine and lithium-ion battery pack. Under ordinary conditions, the 2019 Honda Insight Prototype will work by using electric power by taking energy from the engine (operating as a generator) or battery parts. The Hybrid Battery is under the rear passenger seat.
As for its safety features, the Japanese car manufacturer has embedded the Honda Lane Watch ™ and Honda Sensing ™ comprising Collision Mitigation Braking System ™ (CMBS ™), Lane Departure Warning, Road Departure Mitigation, Adaptive Cruise Control with Low Speed Follow and New Traffic Sign Recognition.
“The New 2019 Honda Insight has been anticipated as a fuel-efficient car in the Hybrid car segment, with a universally acceptable look both inside and out and being the widest passenger car in its class,” says Henio Archangeli, Jr., Senior Vice President of Automobile Sales and General Manager of Honda Division, American Honda Motor Co., Inc.
The plan, 2019 Honda Insight Prototype will be assembled in Greensburg, Indiana at the end of this year and will begin to be marketed in 2019. The production version of this concept car will be the fifth electric vehicle launched by Honda.
