2018 Rolls-Royce Phantom launched with a new look on the exterior and interior. Rolls-Royce still retains the DNA of the Phantom over the years. But some developers made this car look more slick on the exterior. One of them is the process of connecting the body is made with new engineering so that making the line between the panel becomes more difficult to see.
Viewed from the front, Rolls-Royce comes with a larger and higher Pantheon grille than before. As a result, the statue of the Spirit of Ecstasy, which is characteristic of Rolls-Royce comes half an inch higher than its position in the previous Phantom VII.
One of our concerns from the exterior is the presence of headlights surrounded by DRL, making it look like a ring when viewed from the front. Rolls-Royce claims that these headlights use the latest technology that can make light radiate up to 600 meters. Thus, it is expected the driver can see more clearly when driving at night.
Rolls-Royce promises that this 2018 Rolls-Royce Phantom has a very tall cabin silence. Various things range of glass-lined with a thickness of up to 6 mm around the car and sound silencer of 130 kg and the addition of the use of various materials that absorb sound.
Not only that, this car also asks their tire supplier to create a special tire that is equipped with ‘Silent-seal’. With this, the tire will be added to the inner layer of foam to eliminate noise when the tire rotates. The use of this tire managed to reduce the incoming sound up to 9 dB.
Just like the previous models, this 2018 Rolls-Royce Phantom uses a V12 engine. However, the 6,750 cc V12 engine used has been developed in such a way as to create silence in the cabin. This machine uses two turbochargers and contribute to create power of 570 HP and torque of 900 NM.
The phantom has been equipped with various safety technologies to help drive such as Alertness Assistant4-camera system with Panoramic View, all-round visibility, including helicopter view, Night Vision & Vision Assist, Active Cruise Control, collision warning, pedestrian warning, cross-traffic warning to lane Departure & lane change warning.
