After flirting with a few snapshots and teaser photos, finally the new generation of the Honda CR-V 7-passenger officially rolled in Thailand, and will be exhibited at the Bangkok Motor Show 2017 next week. Citing the Bangkok Post on Saturday (03.25.2017) for the first time also in Thailand, there is a diesel choice is pinned on the 2017 Honda CR-V, pair it with the gasoline engine. Called I-DTEC, 1.6L diesel-turbo engine capable of spewing power up to 160 horsepower and torque of 350 NM, with a 9-speed torque-converter automatic.
As for the gasoline engine, I-VTEC 2.4 L naturally aspirated, has the ability to power up to 173 HP and 224 NM of torque, mated to a CVT automatic transmission, which comes from previous generations.
2017 Honda CR-V comes with a seven-seat configuration, and ventilation air conditioning that can be enjoyed by all rows of seats, in order to lure customers. This model will be a serious rival to the Chevrolet Captiva, Chevrolet Trailblazer, Ford Everest, Isuzu MU-X, Mitsubishi Pajero Sport and Toyota Fortuner.
Each type of machine has two variants, wherein for gasoline engines priced at 1,399 million Baht and 1,549 million Baht. As for diesel, 1,549 million Baht and 1,699 million Baht. The Honda Thailand said the petrol engine variants of the 2017 Honda CR-V will be available at the dealership on April 22, 2017, while diesel on May 25, 2017.
