Muscle car does have a high popularity in the United States. This is because muscle car in general presents a great power, but can be purchased at an affordable price. No wonder the kind of car is enough demand in the market.
Even so, the muscle car that can be found on the market during this time, like the Ford Mustang and Chevrolet Camaro, just crammed with a variety of cars that rely solely on the rear drive only. As a result, though it was designed with a power that is abundant, but the cars are still encountering many obstacles, especially when driving on the road conditions were not good.
That seems to be the one of the reasons why Dodge finally officially launched the new muscle car is quite different. The new muscle car is known to have the name Dodge Challenger GT AWD. The car is claimed to be the prime muscle car is equipped with 4-wheel drive.
With AWD features pinned in the car, the Dodge Challenger GT AWD is able to bulldoze terrain with thick snow that often occur in winter. In addition, the car is fairly different from the other muscle car, because the driving system will often drive the rear wheels. Meanwhile, new energy is transferred to the front wheels when road conditions are quite severe.
However, Dodge Challenger GT AWD will only offer Pentastar V6 engine and not for V8 engines which have been the mainstay. This means that the car is still going to shoot power of 305 HP and produces torque of 268 lb-ft, and combined with the 8-speed automatic transmission made by ZP, like a regular Challenger V6.
The visual section showed no significant differences in addition to 19-inch rims wrapped in Michelin artificial all-weather tires, rear spoiler and fog lamps. The interior presents seats wrapped in Nappa leather and Alcantara, 8.4-inch entertainment system and 9 stereo speakers.
The Dodge Challenger GT AWD reportedly will be priced at 34,500 dollars so it is more affordable than the BMW 430i xDrive and the Infiniti Q60.
